Why It’s A Great Idea

Think you know sports? Test your smarts and your skills at the Sports Bar Exam – we bet you’ll have a ball!

Mixes three things people love: Trivia, Athletic Competition & Gambling. The truly gripping part of the show is that the players will be answering regular sports trivia questions which everyone thinks they know and participating in regular sports related physical challenges which everyone thinks they can do. People will feel like they can do better than the idiot on TV, or they will marvel at the player’s ability to rise to the occasion and perform an exceptional feat. Viewers will not be able to turn away because they’ll feel like they could do better than what they’re seeing.

Non-stop action: Raise your hand if you are tired of game shows that are 10% action and 90% dramatic pauses, posturing, pointless chatter and commercials? The Sports Bar Exam will be packed with action – lightening fast trivia rounds, actual physical events, fun transitions with rock paper scissor and the Wheel of Who’s Most Macho, plus dialogue with value as players place side bets. And cheerleaders! How can we do this and still make tons of money? Because The Sports Bar Exam has…

TONS of opportunities for corporate sponsorship and product placement. Question sponsors, dartboard & rock paper scissor sponsors, category sponsors, Wheel of Who’s Most Macho sponsor, physical challenge sponsor, sponsor drinks and snacks at the bar for players to enjoy, etc. There could be whole trivia sections devoted to sponsorship (“What ball manufacturer sponsors Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson?”). It’s practically endless, PLUS the actual prizes given out will come from sponsors a’ la The Price Is Right.

TONS of opportunities for licensing ancillary items DVD game, board game, shirts, beer mugs, Barmaid/Cheerleader Calendar, golf tees, athletic apparel, sports equipment…

It’s got two separate but equal parts – the trivia and the physical challenges. The trivia in the barroom will be more traditional “game show” material (with the added Fun Features listed above) which viewers relate to. The physical challenges will provide the audience with more current “reality TV moments” in a different setting than the barroom trivia. Every show features a charity for physical handicaps and raises money for said charity. Viewers have chance to be involved with show by sending in questions via email. It’s just plain fun watching folks try to perform under pressure. Regular dudes might be great at free throws, but when they’re on camera and each free throw is worth $X, all of a sudden things might change. It’s totally different than anything else out there and it deals with subjects many Americans LOVE – sports, trivia, gambling and competition.

And cheerleaders!
